Concert:

Sherborne Abbey, July 2018

I managed to catch the DPMVC at their joint concert with the Avon and Somerset Constabulary Male Voice Choir in July 2018. I went along to support a family member in the choir, and was very pleasantly surprised! Everyone performed with a smile, and it was amazing to hear the unique sound of the male choir fill the stunning Sherborne Abbey venue. Among my favourite moments was the moving rendition of La Vergine Degli Angeli.

I was also lucky enough to see the choir during one of their rehearsals - Dr. Jane Oakland does a fantastic job of keeping them all in shape for the next concert and it was inspiring to see how hard they all work to achieve their sound. 

Overall I'd highly recommend seeing the DPMVC if you get the chance! A lot of their proceeds go to charity, and their ever-growing repertoire has something for everyone. Don't miss!

Wimborne Minster annual Police Carol Service 2018

May I thank you most sincerely for your participation in the carol service for Dorset Police in Wimborne Minster. We received so many really appreciative comments as people were leaving the Minster. Clearly the event is very well thought of by so many and that is in a very large part due to the superb quality of the musicians participating.

Please pass my thanks on to all your members, as we greatly appreciate all their participation and what they bring to the service to make it so special for so many.  You put a great deal of effort into making the evening the success it was, for which I am most grateful.

I hope you all have a fantastic Christmas and have a good break to rest afterwards.  No doubt I will be calling on you next year to participate again and I very much hope you will able to be part of this again. It wouldn’t be the same without you!

Wimborne Minster annual Police Carol Service 2018

This is a short message to thank you and the Choir for yet another brilliant performance at the Minster on Tuesday night.

Please could you pass on our thanks to everyone involved. Unfortunately I was tucked up with other duties on the evening and I apologise I didn’t get the chance  to speak with you in person.The sound was great from where I was sat right at the back of the Minster.
